The city of Albuquerque will welcome a chilly welcome in 2023 with the Al’burrr’querque Polar Bear Plunge.
From 10:30-11:30 am, brave entrants will be invited to dive into the Sierra Vista Pool at 5001 Montaño Road NW on Saturday, January 7th.
Jump off for $40 or slide down the slide for $50. Proceeds will be used to help polar bears, penguins and people swim.

The Indian Museum of Arts and Culture invites visitors to stick to a special presentation after seeing the ‘Evolutions in Clay’ pop-up exhibition.
Ceramicists Rey Garcia (San Felipe) and Ricardo Ortiz (San Felipe) will be at the museum on Sunday, January 8, from 1-3pm for an afternoon of storytelling and art-making.
Admission to the museum and demonstrations are free for New Mexico residents on January 8.

Colorado-based band Velnias are coming to Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery on Saturday, January 7th.
New Mexican bands TKTWA, Distances and Dead Pattern will also perform.

Discuss Bosque flora and fauna with an Open Space Nature Guide and Trail Watch Volunteer Steward. The guided hike begins at the Open Space Visitor Center at 6500 Coors Blvd. Northwest, Sunday, January 8, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Hiking is free. Participants are asked to bring water, wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
