Parishioners of St. Thomas’ Church in Kuantan join Vincent Nathan’s Journey into the Heart of Christmas in Kuala Lumpur.

The Faith Formation Ministry of St. Thomas Church, under the leadership of Anna Tong and parish priest Father George Pakiasamy, has organized several spiritual formation programs for different language groups this season of Advent.
The aim was to help parishioners concentrate on their spiritual preparations for Christmas in the midst of the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Mandarin group session on the theme of Coming of the Promised One, was announced on Sunday, December 4, by Father Clement Lim, Church of the Sacred Heart, Benton. Over 50 people attended.
Next, talk in English on the theme of “”.Journey to the Heart of ChristmasThe session was presented by Vincent Nathan from Kuala Lumpur and was attended by 24 parishioners. In his talk, he highlighted the amazing aspects of Christmas and the seven prophetic gifts of salvation, grace, blessing, guidance, joy, redemption, and peace.
Tamil-speaking parishioners attended a session presented by Father George on Sunday 18th December.
As Advent coincides with the east coast monsoon rains and associated floods, Kuantan Diocese has already established a Flood Relief Ministry with about 20 volunteers. AmalaDass conducted online training sessions to educate and equip volunteers how to work effectively as a team to assist those in need of shelter and basic necessities.
It is worth noting that despite the gloomy weather, there was satisfactory attendance at various spiritual and training sessions which helped parish leaders to carry out their responsibilities with greater confidence.
