Avon – The streets of Avon light up on Sunday with ‘Avon Lights Up…with Lights’ and a community Christmas parade.
Activities begin at 1:00 PM and include two special events: a screening of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at the Avon Park Theater or a visit from Santa Claus at Circle Park. The Avon Preservation and Historical Society Museum, located at 23 Genesee Street, is open on regular Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., allowing visitors to see exhibits of his toys from the 1900s to his early 2000s. I can.
Then at 3pm, the Sulfur Springs Skating Rink officially opens at Avon Driving Park with a free screening. It will also debut with a mural by the Avon Art Club. A hot chocolate can be purchased for $2 to support the 2025 Avon Central Class.
After dark, the streets are lit up with light fixtures at 6pm and the Christmas parade begins at 6:30pm.
The parade route starts at 5480 East Avon Rd. and heads east to Royal Springs and Twin Cedars. Then head west to Circle Park, Genesee, Spring, Sackett, Linden, Wadsworth and back to Circle Park ending at the Avon Fire Station.
If you want to participate in the parade, decorate your car and join the parade. Alternatively, you can watch from anywhere along the route.
