Through January 1, 2023, Universal Orlando Resort is offering guests holiday activities to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and the New Year at Universal Orlando Hotel.
From holiday meals and special ceremonies to parties and entertainment, here are some of the holiday activities at the Universal Orlando Hotel that guests can enjoy this holiday season.
Special ceremonies and seasonal entertainment offerings:
- Hanukkah menorah lighting (December 18-26, 2022) – A Hanukkah Menorah Lighting Ceremony will be held each night before and after sunset in the lobby of each Universal Orlando Hotel. Please check with the concierge, front desk, or call us for hours.
- Strolling Holiday Carols (2022.12.19-25) – Every night from 7pm to 9pm, guests can enjoy festive performances in the lobby of Loews Portofino Bay Hotel as they stroll through holiday carols.

- Christmas Buffet at Trattoria del Porto and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel (available noon to 9pm) – This holiday dining experience includes live music and a variety of menu options including cheese station, seafood, pasta, meats and desserts. Click here for the full menu.
- Mama Della’s Restaurant Christmas Menu and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel – Listen to the beautiful sounds of the hotel’s opera singers and strolling musicians as you choose from a special Christmas menu or an à la carte menu.
- Christmas acoustic brunch in the kitchen and Hard Rock Hotel (available 7am-2pm) – Guests can enjoy breakfast classics such as buttermilk pancakes, bacon and potatoes. Made-to-order eggs benedict and omelets. Meat dishes carefully selected by the chef. - Christmas Buffet at Loews Royal Pacific Resort’s Island Dining Room (available from 11am to 9pm) – A special Christmas Buffet featuring live music, hula dancers, balloon artists, and unique buffet stations such as sushi, stir-fries, and pastries. - New Year’s Eve Party in the Square of Loews Portofino Bay Hotel (31 December 2022 8:30 PM – 12:30 AM 1 January 2023) – Ring in the New Year with a family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration in the hotel’s picturesque outdoor Harbor Piazza – Gourmet food, desserts, beer, wine, live DJs, dancing (alcoholic beverages for 21+ only). - New Year’s Eve Dining and Celebrations at Loews Royal Pacific Resort – New Year’s Eve buffet featuring musicians, hula dancers and balloon artists in the Island Dining Room (available from 6-10pm). - New Year’s Eve Celebration at Universal Aventura Hotel – Guests aged 21 and over can kick off the celebration with a standing room ticket at 8pm – starting at $150 + tax and ticketing fees – which includes food, beer, wine and featured specialty cocktails until 10pm Available from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am. You can also choose VIP packages starting at $1,260. This package includes all the benefits of standing room tickets for up to 6 people per party, plus couch seating and 2 bottles of champagne. In addition to holiday activities at Universal Orlando hotels, Universal Holiday Celebrations are happening every day through January 1, 2023. This includes the Universal Holiday Parade featuring The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Christmas, Grinchmas and Macy’s. Access to Universal Orlando’s Holiday Celebration is included with regular theme park admission and with a valid annual or seasonal pass (blackout dates apply).
Guests staying at the Universal Orlando Hotel enjoy exclusive benefits such as early park admission to the theme parks one hour before park opening, complimentary transportation to and from the parks, and resort-wide billing benefits. In addition, guests of Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort can enjoy Universal Express Unlimited, a skip-the-line ride at participating rides and attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure is available free of charge.
