The Weaverville Chamber of Commerce has added a new event to the 2022 Mountain Magic holiday season. On Saturday, December 17th, they invited the community to gather at The Water Bar at 100 Nugget Lane in Weaverville for a winter solstice celebration and fundraiser. Beginning at 3:00 PM, gather locally sourced materials to create a festive wreath (donate) or decorate a glowing paper bag ($2). Gather around the fire pit at 5:00 PM to light the yule logs. They encourage everyone to bring an instrument for Wassering.Soup and hot drinks are available for purchase as part of the Chamber of Commerce fundraiser. Cash only.
Celebrities will light up “Main Street” (Downtown) on Wednesday, December 21st at 5 p.m. for the winter solstice. We invite our community to experience the lights of our community by strolling through beautiful and historic downtown Weaverville. I need a lot of light fixtures lining downtown! Paper glow bags ($2) are also available at the Trinity Arts & Crafts Supply Co. on the corner of Highway 3 and Center Street in Weaverville. This is the ideal place for individuals and families to gather and decorate bags that sparkle with festive fanciful flair…and indulge in a little holiday shopping.
The Weaverville Chamber of Commerce’s 2nd Annual Community Hanukkah Celebration will be held on Sunday, December 18 from 4-5:30 pm outside the Weaverville Bandstand downtown. Learn the game of dreidel (bring your own or use ours). At 5pm, light the menorah to commemorate the first night of Hanukkah. Everyone is welcome.
The Weaverville Chamber of Commerce strives to spread cheer, inspire positive community engagement, and encourage people to shop locally this holiday season.
