Purpose of the program
The U.S. Embassy recognizes that knowledge of English provides opportunities for Serbian citizens to improve their job prospects, expand their access to information and knowledge, and promote critical thinking and media literacy. Proposals should use English to address issues and challenges faced by the community, such as brain drain, limited employment opportunities, and the spread of disinformation. The proposal could also use English as a bridge to enhance communication and cooperation between neighboring countries within the Western Balkans, between Serbian citizens and the United States, or between Serbia and her EU member states.
