Officials at Fort Bragg have confirmed an investigation into illegal drug activity among about a dozen soldiers.
Soldiers will be assigned to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command. Special Ops did not specify whether the soldier was being investigated for using drugs illegally, selling drugs, or both.
According to Special Ops, the soldiers were interrogated last week and then released and returned to their units. Two of his additional soldiers who were originally involved in the investigation have been eliminated.
Special Ops said no arrests or charges have yet been made. You cannot engage in activities.
Here are some of the Special Ops statements:
“Illegal drug use and other illegal activities are directly contrary to the values of the Special Operations Forces and do not reflect the behavior we demand of all soldiers in our formation… We are taking measures at all levels to ensure the welfare of our soldiers, and to reduce these harmful behaviors…”
The Army’s Criminal Investigative Division is investigating the case.
