(G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon Halts Activities After Testing Positive For COVID-19

(G)I-DLE Jeon So-yeon has temporarily suspended her activities after being diagnosed with the new coronavirus.

On December 27, Cube Entertainment officially announced that Soyeon had tested positive for the virus.

Here is the agency’s full English statement:

(G)I-DLE member Soyeon was confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) today (December 27).

Soyeon had symptoms [a] Today (December 27) I had a sore throat and the self-test kit was positive. [a] I had a PCR test and received a positive test result today (December 27).

Soyeon has completed her third dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Soyeon is currently suspending all activities and taking necessary measures according to the guidelines set by the government health authorities.

Cube Entertainment will continue to follow the preventive guidelines of the government health authorities, and will do our best for Soyeon’s early recovery with the artist’s health as our top priority.
