Popular K-pop male act iKON has decided to leave YG Entertainment as a group.

Just recently, YG Entertainment announced that the six-member group was officially disbanding. “After long discussions with the iKON members (Kim Jin Hwan, BOBBY, Song Yoon Hyun, Ku Jun Hoe, Kim Dong Hyuk, Jung Chan Woo) regarding their future activities, we will respect each other’s opinions and conclude an exclusive contract. Terminate the contract term. We have agreed to terminate,” the agency said.

The management office said, “Of course, the six members of iKON plan to continue their activities as ‘iKON’ in the future, and we would like to inform you that they will continue their activities. As before, the official fan community will continue. We will continue to communicate with iKONIC (fans of iKON) through our official social media accounts, including Weverse.”

In 2013, iKON made their name by appearing on Mnet’s idol debut survival program. Katsu: Who’s next? Formally debuted as Team B in September 2015. At the time of their debut, they were a 7-member group, but in 2019, leader BI left and reorganized into a 6-member group.
