Prime Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has informed that industrial activity in Himachal Pradesh will gain momentum with the Center’s funding of Rs 4.2 crore for three projects.
The central fund was given to states under Prime Minister Ghati Shakti-related disbursement of the Special Support Scheme to States for Capital Investment 2022-23 from the Ministry of Finance’s Federal Expenditure Service, he said, adding that this support would last for a long time. added. In a statement issued here on Saturday, the Prime Minister said the state government has sent four projects worth Rs 8.4 crore for central support, considering logistics connectivity and industrial development within the state. rice field.
However, the Review Board of the Department of Industry and Internal Trade Promotion (DPIIT) has approved three projects worth Rs 4.2 crore. He said one of his major projects under the scheme is to set up his IT park at Lak (Nagri) in Palampultesir, Kangra district.
Sukhu said the airport’s connectivity and climate are well suited for the region’s IT-enabled industries. The total cost of the project, he said, will be Rs 3.5 crore. The Prime Minister instructed the Department of Industry to expand the size of the park from 250 canals to at least 1000 canals, so that economies of scale could be cashed in and jobs created for local youth.
He also called for the timely execution of these projects.
The Prime Minister also directed Himachal Pradesh to develop an investment-oriented open policy to make it the most investor-friendly state in the nation. Sukhu asked Industry Director Rakesh Prajapati to visit the identified sites and start the IT park setup process.
