Swampscott, Massachusetts — After-school activities in Swampscott were canceled Wednesday due to the latest expected burst of winter precipitation.
The school district announced late in the morning that all sports, meetings and other after-school activities for the day were cancelled. Schools were set to close on a regular basis.

This is the second time in three days that a game or other event has been canceled due to winter weather.
