The Black Heritage Society, in partnership with the City of Houston, will host the 45th Annual “Original” MLK Junior Day Parade on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 10:00 am. Lord Marshal, Mayor of Houston Sylvester Turner. The Co-Grand Marshals is a tribute to Dr. MLK Jr.’s nephews Dr. Derek king, Dr. Camille Cash, Houston plastic surgeon and the late John Bland. General public can participate for free.

To celebrate our 29th anniversary, welcome to the 29th Annual MLK Grand Parade in Midtown Houston. This is his one of the largest one-day multicultural events in the United States and is held in honor of Martin his Dr. Luther King Jr. His annual MLK Grand Parade is attended by millions through television. , social media, spectators.

The celebration brings together dignitaries, dance teams, cheerleaders, junior reserve officer training corps, colleges, elementary and middle school marching bands, floats, businesses and civic groups from across the country.
