Baltimore’s Department of Promotion and Arts told 11 News that the mayor will not be attending the countdown, nor will Soul Centered, the band that was scheduled to play the background music for the fireworks.
BOPA, which plans a New Year’s celebration starting in November, said the fireworks show will last 12 to 15 minutes as Baltimores ring in 2023.
Friday’s Pyrotecnico officials double checked things to make sure no wires were crossed for Saturday’s big show.
