Ottawa library to host activities through January – Shaw Local

Sunday, January 22nd from 1:00pm to 2:00pm: Color me crazy, all ages. Come to the library for relaxation and coloring. The library provides everything you need.

Monday, January 23, 6-7:30 p.m.: DIY Pendant: Crafter’s Hour, Adult. Use recycled magazines to create unique pendants for necklaces and keychains. Registration is required as spots are limited due to availability. To reserve a spot for this class, please call the library or stop by the Circulation Desk.

Tuesday, January 24, 10:30-11:15 am: Ready, Set, Lead! A fun story time for children ages 3-6.

Tuesday, January 24, 5:30-6:30 p.m.: Harry Potter Book Club, Grades 4-12. The library covers the first half (Chapters 1-19) of the fifth book in the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. New members are always welcome to join. Share your thoughts on the book, then enjoy the games and themed treats. Please order books at the children’s center desk.

Wednesday, January 25, 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.: Shake, rattle, read! It’s music story time for children ages 9-36 months.

Wednesday, January 25, 4:30-5:15pm: Watercolor snowflakes, kindergarten to 2nd grade. Come paint a snowflake using watercolor and salt techniques.

Saturday, January 28, 1:30-3:30pm: Loop group, adult. Learn to knit and crochet in a friendly environment with knowledgeable people.

Tuesday, January 31, from 10:30 am to 11:15 am: Ready, Set, Lead! A fun story time for children ages 3-6.

Tuesday, January 31, 3:00pm to 4:00pm: Are you game? 3rd through 6th graders. Stop by to play classics, fun favorites, or learn new strategy games.
