The president was speaking at an awards ceremony for the 2020 and 2021 National Children’s Awards Competition held at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital, UNB reported.

Describing children as the country’s future leaders, he said that they must be raised to be good citizens, as they will be responsible for the country in the future.
President Hamid urged everyone, regardless of religion, caste or economic status, to work together for the holistic development of children and help their inner potential to blossom.
“It is everyone’s responsibility to raise children as wise citizens . . . Children need the right environment, care and inspiration to develop their talents,” the president added.
Abdul Hamid said there is a need to find talented children scattered across the country and give them the proper training to become quality artists, painters or athletes so they can compete in global competitions. I was.
Referring to the government’s various activities, Sheikh Hasina said that the Sheikh Hasina government is taking multi-faceted actions to ensure the holistic rights of children.
“In the national action plan, priority is given to children’s health and nutrition, educational science and technology, etc… There are also various programs and plans for the development of children with physical and mental disabilities.
The President advised parents to provide their children with a proper education, including learning about justice, the difference between truth and falsehood, honesty, kindness, patriotism and love of life.
Hamid also focuses on ethics education for children in the age of globalization and information technology (IT).
“Today, children in every household have mobile phones, laptops, and other sophisticated devices, and many are addicted to them. , do not practice art or literature, and do not even know…nature and the environment.”
About 650,000 children from all districts participated in the “National Children’s Awards Competition – 2020 and 2021” in 30 categories. The purpose of this event is to develop the inner potential of children and adolescents.
