SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara Police Activities League hosted its 22nd Annual Winter Wonderland event, with 176 children each receiving a personalized gift, face painting, and meeting Santa.
Looking to light up their holiday season celebrations, 72 local families joined PAL at Carousel House on December 15 and enjoyed a meal prepared by El Pastorcito Taqueria.
All children in attendance received a wrapped holiday gift sponsored by employees of the Santa Barbara Police Department with the help of community members and the District Attorney’s Office.
Local police officers serve dinner, listen to DJs, and spend the night with families chosen because they are facing grief or loss, single-parent homes without family support, and recently homeless families. spent.
