Hours of operation are 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday. The Active Adult Program is for people over the age of 50. City residents pay fees for programs and activities. Non-residents pay an annual membership fee of $25 plus program and activity fees. For more information, please call extension 920-887-4639. 103.

The Community Center Courier newsletter lists activities and is available free at cityofbeaverdam.com/bdcas and throughout town, for $13.50 per year by mail.

The Watermark is Dodge County’s senior dining site Monday through Friday. Participants must be 60 years or older. A donation of $3.99 is suggested. Eligible participants should call extension 920-887-4639. Reservations for meals must be made by 102 noon the day before.

Alzheimer’s Disease Series: Healthy Living for the Brain and Body: On Thursdays, 10:30-11:00 am, The Watermark offers monthly workshops on a variety of topics in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association. These workshops are designed to meet the needs of family caregivers and the general community seeking information about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Registration required.

Gardening: Windowsills Herbs: January 19th, 10-11am Most herb lovers agree that freshly grown herbs are the best. However, in winter, things that can be grown outdoors tend to be cramped. Learn tips for growing herbs, the types of herbs that work best indoors, and how to move them outdoors when temperatures rise. Each participant receives a small pot of herb of choice to take home and grow on their windowsill.

Awaken Your Reason: On January 12, 1:00-3:00 pm, this interactive workshop, based on the research of Dr. Richard Leider, will help participants understand how purpose is important to well-being and share unique gifts and missions. Help identify and use those gifts to grow and give. We partnered with Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam to offer this free workshop. Registration required.

The Fond du Lac County Senior Dining Program offers daily meals with curbside pickup at 10am Monday through Friday. Participants must be 60 years of age or older or married to someone in that age group. To cancel your pickup, please call 324-7930. To verify Mobile Meal eligibility, please call 920-929-3113. The recommended donation amount for Mobile Meals is $3.50.
