South Harrow property shut down for ‘illegal activities’

A joint operation between Harrow Council and local police uncovered illegal use of South Harrow property.

The facility, which had caused concern among local residents, was quickly closed thanks to the joint work of Harrow Council Community Safety and the local police team.

Officers said the man had been detained at a property on Valentine Road in South Harrow after numerous complaints from local residents about him “behaving suspiciously” and visiting at “strange times”. I noticed. When police visited the premises, they discovered four women working illegally on the premises.

After a thorough investigation, the Council’s Community Safety Team and police obtained a closure order to stop illegal activity and the women working there.

Anjana Patel, Minister for Environment and Community Safety, said:

“This was not only about illegality and ASB, but also the safety of vulnerable women with police support.

“We will continue to work closely with our local police teams to put residents first and help make Harrow a safe place to live and work. We encourage residents to report both and take action.”
