Honolulu (KHON2) – Both Rock-A-Hula and Stars of Honolulu host exciting events to kick in the new year.
Held at the Royal Hawaiian Center, Rock-A-Hula will be Waikiki’s largest Hawaiian show, featuring the largest cast, tribute artists, Hawaiian artists, Tahitian, Hula, Fire Knife dancers and Rock-A-Hula Bands.
“On New Year’s Eve, we offer a special second show. There are three options for the countdown to the new year, all with New Year’s Eve party favors, a Rock-A-Hula show and fireworks visual effects on the big screen. It’s included, and you can also meet the cast at the post-show Meet & Greet,” said Becky Newbold, Rocca Hula’s general manager and entertainment director.
In addition to the Rock-A-Hula show, Hawaii residents can experience “whale watching” aboard the Star of Honolulu.
“The Star of Honolulu is Hawaii’s largest sightseeing and dinner cruise ship. The Star of Honolulu has four walk-around decks, a spacious 60-foot-high observation deck, and three types of stabilizers.” Designed specifically for Hawaii’s waters to provide a comfortable experience. In addition, humpback whales and Hawaiian marine life are taught through live narration, educational displays, and handouts by a professional staff of qualified naturalists.
