Intelligence reports say Pakistani-backed terrorists are likely to engage in sabotage.

Arvind Oja: Terrorists may carry out sabotage activities including strikes on police stations in Punjab, according to information received by intelligence services. Input suggests that a Pakistani-backed terrorist group is planning to carry out attacks in India.

The likely target is a police station near the Mohali Bypass area. Punjab police are already conducting a search operation.

Police say the RPGs, weapons, ammunition and explosives needed to carry out such attacks have already reached the province. It was used in the recent police station attack.

On December 10, a rocket-propelled grenade was fired at a police station in Tharn Talang, Punjab. A terrorist group with ties to Pakistan backed by Haristan later claimed responsibility for the attack. No injuries have been reported.
