This Week’s Activities at Crossroads at Big Creek


It’s going to be a fun week of games at Big Creek’s Crossroads starting on Science Saturday, January 28th from 1-4pm. Stop by the Collins Learning Center to explore science through games and enjoy hot chocolate and fire.

The Quantum Revolution Lecture Series continues on January 28th from 1-4pm at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center, 2200 Utah St. Tom Minahan leads this free series following theoretical and experimental developments in quantum physics and the quantum nature of matter and energy. The Wild Ones of Door County will be hosting a free lecture on January 31 at 6:30 PM at the Collins Learning Center. In “Keystone Plants for Pollinators”, learn which plants are most useful in enhancing landscapes that attract pollinators.

Puppeteer Nancy Hawkins will perform a puppet show for preschoolers at the Junior Nature Club on February 1 at 10am. Conditions permitting, a short nature program continues outdoors. Otherwise, it will be held at the wildlife exhibit. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.

When conditions permit, members of Friends of Crossroads and Door County Silent Sports will provide free skiing on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM and Sundays from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Check crossroadsatbigcreek.org for status and hours of operation.
