RAJOURI: Rajouri Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, today conducted an unannounced inspection of government agencies in Sunderbani subdistrict to monitor public service delivery and staff attendance. He also assessed development activity in various parts of the subdivision.
Institutions visited by the Deputy Secretary during the surprise visit included Tehsildar’s office, Tehsil SUPPLY office and Tehsil Treasury Office.
The Deputy Commissioner checked employee attendance and office records and determined that everything was satisfactory.
He emphasized that officials and bureaucrats work in concert so that the benefits of the welfare system percolate down to the grassroots level.
DC then chaired the meeting to review progress under the various schemes being implemented by the subdivision’s line divisions.
The meeting was attended by ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal. CPO, Mohammad Khurshid. ExEn PWD (R&B) Nowshera, Bikram Singh; ExEn PMGSY, Subash Chander, and others.
After checking the progress of the work that JPDCL is carrying out, we were informed that four projects had been approved and all had been completed. Officials who reviewed the Tanda Salheri project informed us that 25 KVA has been installed and that work will be completed soon.
Noting the unscheduled power outages, DDC asked JPDCL officials to publish the power outage schedule in advance as information for the general public. Given the progress of the PWD(R&B) Sector Scheme, ExEn PWD has informed that 25 KM of roads have been closed to traffic in Thunderbani subdivision.
After discussing progress under the BADP, we were informed that 03 out of 09 work had been completed and the remaining work was in progress. When I inquired about the status of the GDC Sunderbani building, I was told that the building is complete in all respects and will be handed over to the relevant departments shortly. Noting the problem of the Devak Bhamblia road, officials have notified that there is a need for deforestation.
As for the PMGSY sector, it has been informed that all 06 schemes have been completed in all respects while two new schemes have been authorized for Channi Bakhar and Puniya Khetar Balwal under Phase III. DDC requested relevant officials to start work on both schemes as soon as possible.
After discussing progress under the Jal Shakti sector under the district capital expenditure budget, we were informed that work on 03 out of 05 projects had been completed. Similarly, under JJM, the Sunderbani subdivision has a scheme of 09.
DDC urged officers to work together more enthusiastically and make sincere efforts to promote district development and create better results on the ground.
